About Dr. Bloom

-----Dr. Allan Bloom was educated at Boston University (BA), UNC-Chapel Hill (MSW), NC State University (PhD), and the UNC-Duke Psychoanalytic Institute. He has evaluated and treated children and adults full-time since 1976. His practice is limited to evaluations, psychotherapy and the supervision of other clinicians. He also serves as the consulting psychologist to the Diagnostic Teaching Clinic at NC State University. Professional memberships include the Society for Personality Assessment, the Association for Child Psychoanalysis, the NC Psychological Association and the NC Psychoanalytic Society. He is a licensed psychologist in North Carolina and has published numerous articles in professional journals in the field of mental health and child treatment. Dr. Bloom is married with two children.
